eStars is set to kick off in Seoul, South Korea this weekend and will last for three days. The event is being held at the Seoul Trade Exhibition and Cenvention, hosted by Seoul Metropolitan Government and JoongAng Ilbo.
Counter-Strike and Warcraft3 will have two different tournaments at the Continental Cup. With both these tournaments; Threesome and Deathmatch, there is a possibility of a tie with four points up for grabs. Also, there will be an individual competition after the Continental Cup itself.
Below are the rosters for each game and team:
Team East CS:
TyLoo.Gaming
WeMade FOX
k23
Team East WC3:
June “Lyn” Park
Jae Ho “Moon” Jang
Weilang “Fly100%”Lu
Last year we saw eStro, Lunatic Hai and Team Dragon represent the East for Counter-Strike. In Warcraft3 only Fly100% will be new to the team, as he will be replacing Xiaofeng “Sky” Li.
Team West CS:
SK-Gaming
fnatic
mTw
Team West WC3:
Pedro “LucifroN“ Moreno Durán
Manuel “Grubby” Schenkhuizen
Dennis “HasuObs“ Schneider
This year we will see SK-Gaming and mTw stepping in for WICKED eSports and emuLate will be competing in GameGune. This is by far the strongest European line-up. In Warcraft3, Pedro “LucifroN“ Moreno Durán and Dennis “HasuObs“ Schneider will be joining up with Manuel “Grubby” Schenkhuizen to make up team East. Grubby is the only returning player from last year.
Team West came away victorious last year. With an improved CS lineup, but not as strong WC3 roster it will be interesting to see if they can repeat. Stay tuned to complexitygaming.com as we cover eStars 2009!
