Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said that Apple’s iPhone is a “new entrant” in the gaming business, but added that he does not think the company will stop there.

Guillemot also added that the Apple TV set-top-box, along with other devices, could provide a new range of console platforms as the product becomes “more powerful.”

“What we see for the future is there will also be a big announcement in interfaces. It will not only happen in consoles but also happen on those TV boxes as well,” he explained.

Guilemot noted that Ubisoft was already working on some of the elements that will appeal in the next generation. He also added that there was a “lot of energy” being devoted to improving the current generation of gaming systems.

Also, Electronic Arts has announced six new games for the iPhone and iPod Touch:

Star Trek
American Idol
Trivial Pursuit
Lemonade Tycoon
Pandemonium!
Anytime Pool
