Changes to NA Revival Series: Everything You Need To Know

As we constantly strive to keep the PrizePicks NA Revival Series beneficial for the growth of the North American scene, we must also keep it compliant with the updated rules of Valve for their tournaments. As such, we have made a couple of adjustments to @PrizePicks NACS Revival Series format.

Format Change

We are happy to announce that we are allowed to go back to the original format of the PrizePicks NA Revival Series. We are simplifying the format by removing Bo1s, GSL group stages and streamlining the schedule. The new NA Revival Series format is the old NA Revival Series format: clean, short and sweet with exclusively Bo3s for the best competitive environment and integrity.

Starting for the July tournament, we return to six invited teams with two Open Qualifier teams, battling it out over a Saturday and Sunday in a classic 8-team Single Elimination Bo3 bracket. All Quarterfinal matches will be hosted on Saturday and streamed on the official Complexity Twitch channel or on fl0m’s Twitch channel - with Championship Sunday featuring the two Semifinals, as well as the Grand Finale on Sunday night.

Prize Pool

NA Revival Series is committing $5,000 total prizes with every iteration.

  • 1st - $4,000
  • 2nd - $1,000

  • 6 PM ET - Quarterfinal 1 (Main)
  • 6 PM ET - Quarterfinal 2 (fl0m)
  • 8 PM ET - Quarterfinal 3 (Main)
  • 8 PM ET - Quarterfinal 4 (fl0m)

  • August 15 - 17
  • September 5 - 7
  • October 17 - 19
  • November (Date TBD)
  • December (Date TBD)

*All dates are tentative and subject to change, in case large scale tournaments or qualifiers for major events are colliding with these dates. NA Revival Series is a tournament series to provide added opportunities for the North American teams, not take opportunities away.

** VRS invites for these events will be based on the most recent release of VRS rankings in accordance with Valve rules.
