Changes to coL.COD

BY Andrew Miesner / January 20, 2018

Today we are announcing a change to our Call of Duty roster. As of yesterday evening, Jared ‘Nagafen’ Harrell was informed that he was being released to free agency. Jared was only a part of Complexity for a short time, but even in those few weeks we could see that he approaches the game with great determination and resolve. We would like to thank him for his hard work and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.

To fill the open spot, we have reached an agreement with Enigma6 to transfer the contract of up-and-comer Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell. Less than a year into his COD career, Dashy has emerged as one of the new AR talents in the circuit. His slay heavy style has turned heads around the scene, and we’re excited to see his presence help to drive the team into CWL Pro League Stage 2.

“As an organization, we aren’t in the habit of signing players and cutting them just a couple of weeks later. It really just isn’t how we do things. At the same time, following sub-par performances and a discussion on Thursday with members of the team, it was clear that the team felt a change was needed to improve performance to a level that would allow them to qualify into Stage 2. We were in a bit of a pickle. There was a strict timetable, and we both needed to make a change, but we also needed to do our best to minimize the impact for our departing player.

Yesterday when I was informed that the team wanted to bring on Dashy, we moved as quickly as possible to evaluate the option, and secure his transfer from E6. It was a huge priority for us that Jared needed to be released as a free agent with sufficient time to land on his feet. Late last night things fell into place, the transfer was secured, and Jared was immediately informed and released into free agency. It wasn’t perfect, but we did our best to do right by everyone and move forward.

We’re excited to seeing what Dashy brings to the team. He absolutely crushed at NOLA, so I’m personally hoping he can repeat that strong performance in the upcoming months.”
