Last night it was revealed that compLexity MVP will be the eighth team participating in Season VII of the Evil Geniuses Master’s Cup Series League. Featuring a $10,000 prize pool split among the top three teams, this season of the EG MCSL is looking to be the best yet.
For those of you who followed the previous seasons of the EG MCSL, please note that this season will see some major changes. For starters, they’ve increased the number of teams participating to twelve, which means more matches throughout the week. This also means that the EG MCSL will broadcast six days a week featuring commentary from Marcus “djWHEAT” Graham as well as Greg “IdrA” Fields, Benjamin “DeMusliM” Baker, and Geoff “iNcontroL” Robinson. Also the tournament has removed the 2 vs. 2 match, so now it will consist of four 1 vs. 1 best-of-threes.
Unfortunately the tournament has not announced when it will start up. When it does, expect coL.MVP to make a big splash. Our boys took home second place in EG MCSL V, but then had a disappointing finish in EG MCSL VI. With a renewed focus and hunger to be back on top, expect some great things from coL.MVP in EG MCSL VII.
