coL.SC2 @ Red Bull Battle Grounds Atlanta

Beginning today, compLexity SC2’s Kevin “qxc” Riley and Henry “hendralisk” Zheng are in Atlanta, Georgia for the Redbull Battle Grounds.
This 128 player open tournament at Center Stage Theater will be split into 32 WCS format groups – Top 2 from each group will advance through to the 64-player BO3 Single Elimination phase.
Each player that survives Round 1 of the Single Elimination phase into the Top 32 will earn part of the $25k prize pool. Top 16 will collect their share of 4000 WCS points, and the BO5 finals winner will earn an invitation to the Grand Finals in Washington, D.C.
Format
Group Stage
- Up to 128 players in 32 groups of 4 players each.
- Groups are played in dual-tournament format.
- Matches are best of three.
- Top 2 players of each group advance to the bracket stage.
Bracket Stage
- 64 players in a single-elimination bracket.
- Matches are best of three until Semifinals.
- Semifinals & Finals are best of five.
Prizes
- 1st – $8,000
- 2nd – $4,000
- 3rd – $1,700
- 4th – $1,700
- 5th – $800
