Today saw the finals of The North American Champions Trophy StarCraft II tournament. After fighting their way though a pretty nasty bracket featuring players like LzGamer, Axslav, Fenix, Stakufe, Ryze, and Spades, the two players left standing were compLexity’s CrunCher and CatZ.

In a thrilling best of 5 series which went all the way to game 5, CrunCher managed to get the upper hand on CatZ making CrunCher the North American Champion.

CrunCher took the first game on Tal’darim Altar, but lost the next two (Shakuras Plateau and Shattered Temple) putting him in dire straits. CrunCher some how managed to collect himself and win out the remaining two games on Crevasse and Terminus RE.

While it’s never fun to knock your teammate out of a tournament, both players put on a phenominal show and should be proud of their preformances. CrunCher takes home $250.00 USD along with a Killer 2100 networking card for the first place prize.
