Today, ESEA has announced details of their upcoming registration period and features of season 5 of their league.

Opening this Wednesday, registration will be open for just over two weeks and will close November 30th.

Specific aspects of this upcoming season incorporate accomodations for the holidays, in which two weeks of the season will be played before teams get two weeks off; play will then resume on January 3rd.

Also included in that holiday period, are free Premium tournaments, cited as providing “convenient excuses to dodge further time with the family.”

Key Changes From Season 4 to Season 5:

– Increased prize pot from $40,000 to $45,000
– TF2 Invite LAN playoffs for the top 4 teams to go along with 1.6 and Source
– Introduction of two new ESEA Network sites
