ESWC has just announced that the Counter-Strike prize purse has been updated. It was originally planned to distribute $63,000 for the top 3 teams but Games-Solution adjusted their cash prize a few weeks back. The prize purse is now $73,500 and has been widened to the Top 8 teams of the tournament. On a side note, the Virtual Tennis tournament has been cancelled. Below is the updated prize purse for this years ESWC Counter-Strike tournament.

• 1st: $36 000
• 2nd: $18 000
• 3rd: $9 000
• 4th: $4 100
• 5th to 8th: $1 600

The global cash prize for the event remains the same: $213,500.
