Electronic Arts has recently announced a overhaul on the popular soccer title FIFA ’09. They’re adding a new “mode” which will include achievements and a brand spanking-new management system. Nearly 150 million games have been played since release and over 1 million games played on a daily occasion, FIFA ’09 is shaping up to be one of the greatest games to hit the PS3 and XBOX 360 consoles.

The achievement system is based upon collecting coins which will be used to add new players to your roster, expand contracts and create formations and completly customize the way your team plays on the field. The best part is, all the hard work you put into this team can be used for online play and offline.

The launch date for this new mode is set to go live March 19th and will be a 1.3GB download. There is a total of 360 achievments, which are worth 250 points. For the PS3 players, you will be awarded to download nearly 50 trophies for FIFA itself and 10 trophies for the Ultimate Team.
