Germany bans LAN

Recently, German competitive gaming has been disallowed within the whole country. The biggest German event Convention-X-Treme was banned, causing Germany to take a huge blow in the competitive scene. The reason the event will not allowed to be played is because it contains “killer games” such as Counter Strike and Warcraft 3. Convention-X-Treme stated they will be looking for a new location for their event, and will not discontinue it entirely. This year, ESL Friday night games were also banned.

On the other hand, Germany is holding a shooting contest, August 8th-9th, at a local gun club for children below the ages of 14. What do you think provokes more violence, children shooting real guns or children playing video games?
