Dreamhack summer 2009 gets underway this weekend. There is 4 groups, each consisting of 4 teams. These 16 teams will be battling it out for 100 000 SEK ($13,237). Group B is going to be the toughest group, with Begrip and the mix of Lemondogs. The only American team in the event is EG, EG is in Group D with ALCHEMISTS, HSBG-GAMING and is awaiting a byoc team.
Each group is awaiting one team from the BYOC tournament. Bracket play will begin on Sunday, with SK vs Spirit of Amiga and Millenium vs BYOC at 4:00AM EST.
1st Place: Lemondogs 60 000 SEK ($7,942)
2nd Place: SK Gaming 25 000 SEK ($3,309)
3rd Place: Millenium 15 000 SEK ($1,985)
