Today #coLDota takes to the skies as they head to Los Angeles, California for one of the final events of 2017, DOTA Summit 8! DOTA Summit 8 is the next Minor in Valve’s Dota Pro Circut, where teams earn both cash and qualifying points to players, of which the QP will be the sole criteria for invitations to The International 2018. For this event, 300 qualifying points are on the line.

coL.Dota managed to qualify for DOTA Summit 8 by taking down both Digital Chaos and Immortals in the North American Qualifier.

Format

  • 9 Teams: 2 invite, 6 regional qualifier winners, winner of King’s Cup: America

Group Stage

  • 3 groups, 3 teams each
  • 3-game series round-robin
  • Each win equals one point
  • In event of tiebreakers, extra games will be played
  • The three teams with most DPC points (VP, EG, and LGD) are seeded into each group and choose opponents

Wild Card

  • 3 runner-ups from group stage and the 3rd place team with most wins
  • Single Elimination
  • All games are Bo3

Playoffs

  • 4 Teams: 3 group winners and winner of the Wild Card
  • Single Elimination
  • Bo3 Semifinals, Bo5 Grand Finals
