PG2: coL.cs Double Header vs B2B and zet

BY Andrew Miesner / August 5, 2009

Post-Game

coL.cs started off with a fantastic CT side against B2B on de_train. Keeping the terrorists at bay, the boys were able to pick up a nice lead of 6-0 before b2b was able to pick up a round. The boys kept on truckin’ right along to be able to comfortably head into the second half with a score of 10-5. The second half started a bit slow with both teams trading rounds. coL was sitting at game point as B2B fought their way back into the match. The second half resulted 6-9, which made the match 16-14 for coL. Good game to B2B!

For the zetsumei match, coL started on the terrorist side. The boys started off the half sorta slow with zsm able to pick up a few rounds before coL ran away with a nice 10-5 padding. on CT side, coL make quick work of zsm only allowing them 2 rounds. The game ended 16-7 in favor of coL. Good game to zsm.

Pre-Game

Tonight the coL.cs team will face off in a double header! The first match will be for the CEVO season and the second matchup will be the kick-off of the ESL-Invite season. The team is fresh off some LANs and is ready to get back to online action.

The first matchup will be against Back2Back. Back2Back is coming off a successful ESEA-Invite season and a rougher showing at the LAN finals. They are a top team and have surprised many at how successful they have been. So far Back 2 Back has only played ONE match this CEVO season and that ended up in a win over coL.ca. They have not really started to roll on this season, so I anticipate that they are off their game.

Their second match will be for the ESL-Invite season. They will be starting off the season with a match against zetsumei. Zetsumei is an unknown team that has made it into the ESL-Invite division. As I don’t think that they don’t have any skill in this game, I don’t see them impacting coL at all. They might get a few rounds, but the match will be on Dust2, a match that coL has started to perfect. Dust2 also has the chance for the best upsets, due to the amount it is played outside competition.
