Tonight, coL.cs was in ESEA action, against 3 different teams. In the first match of the night, we saw coL take on Blight.USA. After being dominated by j1n in the previous match on d2, coL was looking to show that they are still the best team in North America. coL was able to show just that as they rolled over Blight.USA even after dropping the first pistol of the match. Behind dboorN’s top fragging, coL continued their dominance of Blight.USA, taking the first half by a score of 11-4 and closing out the match by a score of 16-5.
In the second match of the night, coL took on d1versity for an ESEA make-up match. coL was able to get out to a quick start, taking the first pistol and the rounds that followed. However, d1versity didn’t plan to go down easy, as they took coL into a 9-6 half. However, after a close first half, coL flipped a switch and decimated d1versity to end the match by a score of 16-7.
In the last match of the night, coL took on exigent. From the beginning, it looked to be all coL, as they rolled over exigent, even after dropping the first pistol and the 2 rounds that followed. However, in the second half of the match, coL had difficulty closing it out. Exigent was able to grab round after round, giving coL fans a scare. However, the resiliant coL was able to take control back, grabbing that last round to close out the match by a score of 16-8.
Tonight’s first match-up for coL.cs pits them against the current 8th seeded team in the very early ESEA season. compLexity’s first and only ESEA match saw them take a drubbing from j1n on de_dust2, losing 16-2.
Looking to get back on the right track, they will be moving to this week 2 match-up on de_train. They saw great success during the previous regular season, going 4-0 on the map (2 forfeits) but only losing a combined 10 rounds for the two matches they did play.
Match is set to begin at 8:45 PM EST.
In a make-up match of ESEA Week 1:2, coL.cs will be taking on d1versity on de_dust2. coL shouldn’t have a huge problem with d1versity, as long as they remain focused and on their game. The match is scheduled to begin at 9:40PM EST and HLTV will be announced here and in #compLexity.
Facing one of the newcomers to the division, coL.cs lines up to take on Exigent in the second slot of their double header. Being compLexity’s other week 2 match, it is also on de_train.
Exigent was the runner-up to d1versity in ESEA-Main last season, and held down a solid overall season. They might be in tough against an experienced roster, but given the infancy of the season, all bets are off for now.
