Tonight, coL kicked off their impromptu tripple header with the first of their two matches versus Area51 on de_train. From the beginning, coL showed the domination that we have come to expect from them. With an ace by Drew, coL looked to have a victory in their sights early. In fact, coL only gave up 1 round in the first half, virtually ensuring a victory. They were able to finish out the match by a score of 16-1.
In the second match of the night, on de_lite_rc2, things were a little closer, but not by much. Starting on CT side, coL was able to take the opening pistol, along with the rounds that followed. Behind strong play by Ninespot and new coL player, Thomas “thoMz” Garcia, coL was able to roll through the half by a score of 11-4. In the second half, things were no different as coL was able to grab the second pistol and secure their second victory over Area51.
In the third match of the night, coL took on Excello on de_dust2. coL’s dominance from earlier in the night appeared to carry over, as they took the first 7 rounds of the map before Excello was able to get on the board. Luckily for coL, that was one of the few rounds they would get that half as they finished out the half by a score of 12-3. In the second half, Excello was looking for revenge. They were able to grab the pistol round and 3 of the following rounds before coL was able to put a stop to it. Behind an 8hp clutch by Drew, coL was only a round away from victory. Unfortunately for Excello, their last round was a deco and coL was able to take them down with ease to win the match by a score of 16-8.
Update: coL will be taking on Area51 back to back for ESEA! These matches will be played starting at 8:30PM EST!
coL.cs is back in action tonight with a solid matchup against a team fighting for a spot in the playoffs in Excello.
Excello will be in tough against coL.cs, a day after a successful victory over Blight.ca, where they took the match on de_train 16-9. Excello is sitting just outside the playoff picture with four matches left to catch up on. The problem lies in that, is that among those last four matches of the season, they all come against four tough opponents; outside of compLexity, Excello is set to face Turmoil, EG, and Loaded.
coL.cs, with their win last night, have vaulted themselves more firmly in that fifth place position they occupy, setting themselves up to hold onto a playoff birth.
Tonight’s match is set for de_dust2 and will take place at 9:30 PM EST, so be sure to be around to watch coL.cs continue their push towards the ESEA-I playoffs.
