With coL and EG squaring off on de_train in the 2nd round of the CEVO playoffs, the spectators were out in full force making predictions and waiting for the live on three. EG got off to a quick start, taking the pistol and the rounds that followed before coL was able to stop the assault. Led by dboorN, coL battled back to a 7-8 half. In the CT side pistol round, coL.cs proved that they have the chemistry and skill to compete with one of North America’s best. After coL got out to their first lead of the night, EG and coL managed to trade rounds until the final round of the match where coL took it to EG by taking the first 3 frags and the match by the score of 16-14.
In the second match of the night, coL.cs proved to be on a roll as they dominated Graffiti from the beginning. After an 11-4 half, coL looked to be unstoppable, however Graffiti was able to take the second half pistol round. coL was able to finish out the match and advance to the Grand Finals of the CEVO playoffs by a score of 16-9.
Tonight, coL and EG square off for the first time since the announcement of the new coL.cs. It couldn’t have come at a better time, as it is now Round 2 of the CEVO playoffs. EG is coming off a first round bye while coL is coming off a 16-13 win on Thursday versus HRG (Sway Gaming). The map scheduled to be played is de_train. Without a bo3 format for a majority of the CEVO playoffs, both teams will need to be on top their game if they’re looking to secure a victory. The match is set to begin at 9PM EST.
Due to this match being postponed until today, the winner of coL vs EG will face Graffiti in the Upper Bracket Finals immediately after. The loser will face Vicious Gaming in Round 3 of the lower bracket.
