On Monday the coL.cs team played their final regular season match in the ESEA Invite Season 16, advancing to the LAN finals, but today the next challenge awaits the team. Sean Gares, Hiko, and the rest of the boys will have their work cut out for them against former team member Swag, and his iBuyPower squad. This will not just be the most recent chapter in the struggle for North American supremacy, but a fight for a guaranteed spot in the Grand FInals of CEVO Professional Season 4.
As the CEVO Main defending champion, the boys of coL.cs are more than eager to defend their throne in the first season of CEVO Professional, while they also look for revenge for an upsetting loss at SoCal Revival #2 just two weeks ago. In the long night at the LAN, iBuyPower pushed the black and red team to the brink in the Upper Bracket Finals, only to then take the whole tournament with with a comeback in the Grand Finals. As of now iBP is on top of the North American scene, and coL is still looking for an important statement win.
Now the next chance presents itself in a best-of-three contest against their rivals, a match in which captain Sean Gares sees coL.cs having the edge. Back in Southern California he pointed out that he believes coL should be the favorite in matches longer than just one map. Can he back up his words today and avenge the recent stinging loss, or will iBuyPower once more put a stop to the resurgence of compLexity?
