Today marks the first day of FXOpen’s Invitational Series. The 64 player StarCraft II tournament features the best and more prominent names in eSports. According to the official post:
The tournament will be a two-day, 64 player invitational/qualification event with a $1500 prizepool, distributed 900/400/200. The 64 players will compete in a best-of-three double elimination competition. Round 1 matchups will be based on rough ‘seedings’ gathered from previous tournament events and other scene activity. Map determination will be via vetoe. Tournament UB and LB finals will be Bo5, and the final will be up to 2 x Bo5.

Xel’Naga Caverns
Metalopolis (MLG)
Typhon Peaks
Tal’Darim Altar (GSL)
Terminus RE (GSL)
