This weekend 100 of America’s best gamers will be competing in the World Cyber Games US Invitational at the Samsung Experience in New York. There will be more then $10,000 in cash and prizes up for grab. Also the most important a chance to play in the WCG USA National Final, for the chance to represent the USA in November in Chengdu, China.
The Invitational will feature the best gamers and past members of Team USA. They will go head-to-head in Gears of War 2, Guitar Hero: World Tour, Virtual Fighter 5, FIFA Soccer 2009, CounterStrike 1.6, StarCraft and more.
On Friday, Mark, Rob, Swoozie, Chelsea, Jamal, Amy and host Joel Gourdin will be in attendance for a Q&A session on their hit reality show, WCG Ultimate Gamer.
Also on Friday, Robert will be trying to break a marathon Guinness World Record (GWR) in Rock Band 2. GWR officials will be on-hand to watch Rob try to get the highest aggregate score on all 84 songs from Rock Band 2 on expert mode.
