x6tence loses FlipiN

BY Andrew Miesner / April 1, 2010

On March 21st compLexity reported here that team x6tence was going to lose two players of their Counter-Strike 1.6 team after Electronic Sports League: Electronic Pro Series Finals, Lucas “recki” Reckerman and David “r1bera” Antón. HLTV.org is now reporting that a third player is now taking a break from the team indefinitely. Player Antonio “FlipiN” Rivas has now decided to hang up his mouse temporarily after five long years with x6tence. FlipiN joined x6tence back in 2005. His biggest achievement dates back to 2006, when he helped x6tence win the Samsung European Championship and GameGune.

FlipiN released a statement to the x6tence organization website saying:

The time has come for my retirement. In fact, I do not know if I should call it this, since life has many turns, but what is inevitable is that I will leave the team and top competition for a period I cannot even quantify myself. I had many experiences in this world while competing in this great game, but I have known since I started it would not last forever. Today is the day to say goodbye to everyone, not only to my team-mates, but also to all those who, in some way, followed me, cheered me up, even defended me, and always had a nice word about me

It is expected that x6tence will announce the new players later on this week.
