Since the ’09 gaming line launch in June of last year, EA Sports has reported that over 500 million online games have been played up until this week. Over 2.2 million online games are played on average each day which helped the EA Sports titles reach over 500 million, which is a 175% increase over last year. These numbers represent all of EA Sports’ titles from Football to Hockey to Soccer.
Online game play allows real-time competitions with fans from around the world who speak the global language of sports. Gamers have spent more than 4 billion minutes playing EA Sports titles a day, which represents more than 35 years worth of games being played each day. Also, six seperate titles have reached more than 500,000 registered online users with Madden and FIFA leading the way with more than 2.4 million apiece.
