In tonight’s matches, coL dominated in all aspects. Losing only 4 rounds in 2 matches, coL.cs came out hot against a last placed Exigent team, taking all but one round to make the final score 16-1. In the second match, it was more of the same as coL took the first half by a score of 13-2, before taking the match by a score of 16-3.
Tonight, coL.cs will head back into the ESEA fray when they look to take on the struggling Exigent. Set for a 9:30 EST start time, coL.cs (7-5) and Exigent (1-12) will be on de_train for tonight’s match-up.
For coL.cs’ opponent, Exigent has had a rough ride so far this season, whereby their only victory has come as the result of a forfeit win over undertow, on de_dust2. On top of that, they’ve been unable to secure many rounds, averaging just 4.25 rounds per match in each of their losses.
In coL.cs’ case, it’s been a reversal from their ESEA season beginnings; after starting out the season with a 3-5 record, they’ve since turned the tables to come away with convincing wins in their last four matches. They have four matches remaining in which to put space between themselves and Yummy, who are looking to take over coL.cs’ final playoff spot, as well as to attempt to improve their seed for the upcoming ESEA playoffs.
In the second match of the night, coL.cs will be taking on YummY on de_inferno. YummY comes into the match with a 7-6 record, sitting in 7th place in ESEA Invite. The match is set to begin at 10:30PM EST.
