MLG Aftermath, ESWC falls, Dante of WCG Ultimate Gamer
This week’s Live on Three (Lo3) will see a return to a more normal show as Slasher is back from his trip to GDC, and former GotFrag VP of Broadcasting Scott “SirScoots” Smith joins the show as well for a triple-threat.
We will recap the debut 2009 event of Major League Gaming (MLG), held at the Meadowlands in New Jersey this past weekend. Triggers Down came out champions with Walshy’s Instinct placing second, and #11 seed Believe The Hype taking third. Games-Services has also announced that the Electronic Sports World Cup (ESWC) will be shutting down, just weeks after they announced that the grand finals will be postponed till later this year. Additionally, some players have alerted that they are still owed money by the organization, and are worried about getting their winnings.
This week’s special guests include Justin “SK” Mann, captain of MLG Meadowlands champions Triggers Down. We’ll be talking to him about the road to victory at the first MLG event of the season, coming back from the loser’s bracket, and a small tiff with Tom “Tsquared” Taylor.
As we have been doing for the past few weeks, we will also have the most recent contestant knocked off of WCG Ultimate Gamer, so Dante will be joining us to answer some questions.
Tune in Thursday, April 9th at 7 PM EST/00:00 AM CET at the following links. Wheat will be on the air an hour earlier with Wheatisms and music.
