compLexity came out with a bang tonight against Blight.ca. With new member thoMz, they were able to take the first 8 rounds easily. They then lost a round and then lost two more mixed in with the final rounds to make it a 12-3 halftime score. Drew even ended up with an ACE later in the first half when Blight.ca decided to rush inner lower. The halves then switched and complexity was lacking control over the game. Blight.va used the momentum from the last few rounds they gained and won four straight. coL was then able to pull together and take a round. Blight.ca only capitalized on the next round before coL won out and finished the match with a 16-9 score, and a victory over Blight.
The ESEA season is slowly coming to a close, with it set to end this Friday, and coL.cs has plenty to do if they want to secure a spot in the playoffs.
Tonight, coL.cs will be taking on Blight.ca, whose playoff hopes are, plainly, out of reach. With only four wins under their belt and two matches remaining, it’s been a somewhat rough season for the only Canadian squad in ESEA-I. Hoping to end the season on a high note, they will have to take down coL.cs.
On the other side, as aforementioned, coL.cs will have lots to do to ensure that they secure a spot in the post-season, and they will have several makeup matches in which to do that. With a record of 6-3, they are currently occupying the 5th place position; however Excello and Loaded, the 6th and 7th place teams, are simply one loss behind coL.cs and are nipping at their heels in closing out this week.
Tonight’s match will take place on de_train, where both teams have had different experiences. For Blight.ca, both of their train matches this season have resulted in losses, whereas coL.cs won both of theirs.
Tonight’s match will also feature coL.cs’ latest addition, Thomas “thoMz” Garcia, as he will be making his debut with the team.
The match is set to start at 11PM EST.
