Once again, we found ourselves facing Team Liquid in yet another elimination game. "This is always a crazy matchup" Grim previewed, with our last meeting resulting in a defeat at IEM Rio.
After taking the opening pistol on Inferno, we ceded momentum to finish the half trailing 3-9. Despite multi-kill heroics from both JT and nicx, our map pick couldn't be recovered.

We got off to a more consistent start on Ancient, winning the pistol and going on a 3-round streak. By halftime, the game remained close at 5-7 and would continue going back and forth. With some newfound confidence, rookie Cxzi stayed vocal as he led the team with 17 frags.
Though it looked like we may be headed to Anubis, we ultimately fell short in the final moments of Ancient, losing a small lead and barely missing out on overtime 13-11. With this loss, we are now out of IEM Katowice.
While not the showing we'd hoped for, our first LAN appearance with this new roster provided glimpses of good. In a post-game interview with HLTV, JT stoically reminded:
"I know we're in a learning phase and all that, but we need at least a few wins for our ranking and the new VRS system."
