DreamHoN Online Summer Championships: Redemption

The top 16 teams from the DreamHoN Online Summer Championships (DHSC) have been invited to participate in a 3 week tournament that has a prize pot of $7,000 cash as well as invitation, travel stipend of $4,000 and accommodation in Jonkoping, Sweden for DreamHack Winter 2012.

The prize distribution is $4,000 plus the invite to DreamHack for first place, with second getting $2,500 and 3rd with $500. As compLexity.HoN has already won their invite and accompanying stipend/accommodation, they will not be allowed to double up on this. Therefore in the event of a coL.HoN victory in this tournament, the team will only receive the cash prize.

The tournament begins today with compLexity.HoN taking on Q sQuad 357 in their first match of the group stage. The match will begin at 3:00 PM EST (21:00 CET) and will be played in a best of 3 format. The team will look to continue their strong run under the compLexity banner.

compLexity and Killer Part Ways

Today compLexity Gaming and Shin “Killer” Sang Ho have agreed to part ways.

Killer first joined our organization in February of this year following his time with TSL. During his stay with us he attended numerous global events, lived and trained in the MvP house and became a great friend.

We’d like to thank Killer very much for his contributions and wish him the very best in the future.

It’s Gosu HoN August Open #2 Winners

It’s Gosu HoN August Open #2

The compLexity.HoN team has taken out the second It’s Gosu HoN August Open and have taken home the first place prize of $300 along with a qualifying spot in the It’s Gosu HoN August Invitational that will have a prize pot of $1200. The coL.HoN team went undefeated throughout the tournament, taking out everyone in quick, clean, succession, including Team Pikachu in the Semi-Finals (2-0) and Team Tt eSPORTS in the Grand-Finals (2-0).

The top four teams from each (2) qualifiers have been given an invitational to compete in this month’s invitational event and from the second qualifier the teams are: compLexity Gaming, Team Tt eSPORTS, Pikachu, and Blacksheep. From the first qualifier, the top four teams were LION eSportsklubb, Team It’s Gosu, Project X and TradeMark eSports.

coL.Academy Loses Versus LighT eSports – ESEA

Last night the compLexity Academy lost its first match in the ESEA bringing its record to 2-1. After a strong initial showing versus Team Nightmares and FlowSoft Gaming, it was LighT eSports that was able to give The Academy its first loss.

The individual match-ups included:

While this is a hard hit to The Academy, our boys are no stranger to adversity. They see this loss as an opportunity to improve on the weaker aspects of their game. Look for a newly focused Academy as they take on ROOT Gaming next week.

It’s Gosu HoN August Open #2 Begins

It’s Gosu HoN August Open #2

Due to some complications, the compLexity.HoN team was unable to participate in the first qualifier for the It’s Gosu August Invitational, however, they are competing in the event today. There are a number of top teams also in the qualifier including Pikachu, QSQ 357, Vitriolic Gaming and Team Tt eSPORTS.

The prize for this tournament is $300 for first and $100 for second, with the top four teams of both qualifiers invited to the monthly invitational with a prize pot of $1200. It’s Gosu has been a long standing partner with the HoN competitive scene, regularly hosting monthly tournaments since late last year.

Tournament Starts – Saturday the 1st of September at 10:00 AM EST or 16:00 CET.
Semi/Grand Finals – Sunday the 2nd of September at 10:00 AM EST or 16:00 CET.

Firezerg Qualifies for ESWC NA Championship at PAX Prime

The compLexity Academy is proud to announce that its very own Sam “Firezerg” Prowse has been invited to play in the ESWC North American Finals. Held in Seattle at PAX Prime, the winner of the ESWC North American Finals will receive an all expenses paid trip to the ESWC Grand Finals in Paris, France.

It won’t be an easy road to the Grand Finals however. The competition is fearce and every player at PAX is hungry to represent North America in Paris. Firezerg’s competition includes:

  • Suppy
  • IdrA
  • Hawk
  • RaNgeD
  • KawaiiRice

In the first round Firezerg will be taking on the #1 seed Suppy.

The tournament kicks off tomorrow August 31st and will conclude on the following day. MOBA Weekly – Episode #46

Today at 5PM EST, MOBA Weekly will be LIVE for next broadcast.

MOBA Weekly is a production headlined by three hosts and a weekly guest and will feature discussions about news, game development, eSports, strategies, rumors and more. The weekly show will serve one of the largest overall communities in the world of gaming:  the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (or “MOBA”) scene that includes DotA 2, League of Legends and Heroes of Newerth.

 

 

The hosts of the show will be Adnan “Darthozzan” Dervisevic (DotA 2), Ken “xanderk” Smith (HoN) and Shaun “FourCourtJester” Delaney (LoL).  Each host will have 30 minutes to discuss his respective game and 30 minutes will be reserved for the guest interview. Thanks for your support!
