Changes to coL.Dota; Farewell to Deth

April 22nd, 2019

Today we are announcing the departure of Wu Heng “Deth” Yang from our Dota 2 squad. As an organization, we understand that the timing for this is not ideal. We never enjoy making roster changes, especially just weeks before a Major. In this case, both Deth and the team felt this change was needed, despite the unfortunate timing.

While the mutual decision was made shortly after the conclusion of ESL One Mumbai, this was not a reaction to an early exit from the event. This roster change comes as the conclusion to a number of internal discussions that have taken place over the recent weeks. The team has experienced not only the normal stress that comes with a competitive atmosphere, but also the additional stresses of visa issues and the adjustment to living far from home. Ultimately, a mutual decision was reached that would see Deth leaving and returning to Singapore.

“I’ve been really glad to be part of coL for the past 5 months and would like to thank both the team and the organization for everything. I had a great time and learned a lot, unfortunately somewhere down the road it felt like things were not working out and hence we had to part ways. Nevertheless, I wish them all the best in the Major!”

– Wu Heng “Deth” Yang

Deth’s initial decision to leave home for a North American team was not an easy one. Despite that fact, the team found quick success. During his months with the team Deth, captained coL to ESL One Katowice, played on LAN at two ESL One events, and helped the team qualify for a Major. With respect to his part in helping the team qualify to the Paris Disneyland Major, Deth will retain his share of prize winnings for the event and will continue to be paid his full salary through the Major. We wish Deth nothing but the best and look forward to seeing him again at LANs in the future!

Stepping into the role of the offlane on a trial basis is Jaron “monkeys-forever” Clinton. Jaron has been a friend of coL since the Shanghai Major, and recently stepped in when Adam “343” Shah was not able to secure his visa in time for the third cycle of Major and Minor qualifiers. Now, he’s once again packing his bags to join the squad on the 3 position for the MDL Major in Paris. Following the Major, we will re-evaluate all options for the 5th cycle and the ultimate prize, The International.

Big thanks to all our fans for their continued support. See you in Paris!

compLexity Adds Farming Simulator; Welcomes CornDaddy!

April 1st, 2019

The world of esports is constantly evolving. New games emerge, old titles drop off, and new fan bases are created. In our 16 year history, compLexity has always tried to stay ahead of the curve. We strive to diversify our portfolio and represent as many beloved games as possible. We are proud to announce our venture in one of the most exciting new titles – Farming Simulator.

Over the past four years compLexity has had a strong farming presence in other games such as Dota 2 and we are looking forward to yet another installment of farming based strategy. As for our initial #coLFARMilia squad, we are looking to nurture an organic team over time.

Together with Jordan ‘CornDaddy’ Deaton, we have picked up an experienced gamer, but most importantly an experienced farmer who knows the fields in and out.

We will continue to evaluate the scene and further bolster our roster, but the foundation is set with our Farming Simulator superstar, who will get to work across all fields soon.
