AT&T Changes Network

April 21st, 2009

AT&TReports have surfaced that AT&T will be upgrading its 3G wireless network from the current 3.6 Mbps download standard to 7.2 Mbps. Several rumours have been floating around that this is to do with the new iPhone set to release this summer. The new speeds will be great for mobile gaming on the iPhone.

Also, the HSPA standard has the capability of supporting 14.4 Mbps through future upgrades, AT&T appears to be planning to move past that step and go directly to the HSPA+ standard later this year, offering download speeds of up to 21 Mbps and a number of other upgrades.

AT&T is increasing the downlink capacity on its high-speed packet access (HSPA) from 3.6 megabits per second to 7.2 Mb/s through software upgrades at the base station, said Scott McElroy, AT&T Mobility vice president of technology realization. AT&T currently has the enhanced networks running in two test markets but plans to extend those capabilities to its entire network.

Marvel vs Capcom 2

April 21st, 2009

Sources say that Capcom is counting down to an announcement of the re-release of Marvel vs Capcom 2 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

The ESRB has rated it; official arcade sticks have been solicited and then removed; and potential achievements have been unearthed. Now a countdown clock at the website Tu4ar.com has fans hoping that an announcement is only six days and six hours away.

People beleive that Tu4ar.com is with Marvel vs Capcom 2 because of the large “2”. Surprisngly, some suggest that Tu4ar.com means take you 4 a ride dot com. For those who remembers the character select music, in which a soulful singer repeated “I wanna take you for a ride” over and over and over again

With so much evidence pointing towards an imminent re-release, it certainly seems feasible. We’ll know for sure six days from now. In the meantime, reacquaint yourself with the character select music from the game. Do try to stop the playback before you go insane.

6 Year Old Finds Porn On New PSP

April 15th, 2009

PSPWith the recent report of ecstacy pills being found in a previously owned copy of GTA IV in the UK. Now a brand new PSP which was given to a six year old boy has been found containing pornographic images in America.

In Florida, a mother bought her 6 year old son a PSP as a late Christmas gift from their local Wal-Mart store. On Saturday when the 6 year old turned on his PSP for the first time he saw the wall-paper of a ‘naked woman’.

The mother claims that a memory card was already inserted into the PSP when they opened it, and said she did not put the memory card in there.

The mother then called the store and spoke to the manager, explaining the problem with the new PSP. “I explained the situation and his response was, ‘well, bring the machine down and we’ll let your son pick out a new game,'” she said. “And I was like, no I don’t think you heard what I said.” It’s understandable with the pills found in the copy of Grand Theft Auto IV as it was pre-owned but it is a bit suspiscious when porn is found on a brand new PSP.
