New Xbox to be released in 2010?

June 13th, 2009

Microsoft announces possible console release in 2010

This rumor is still in the balance, and no one is sure as to what they actually mean by a new console released in 2010. Project Natal is said to be released in 2010 along with a separate new Xbox 360. The Xbox 360 is going to be an improvement in some hardware, giving you more frames and fixing some other bugs that occurred with the original 360. This would mean gamers could be competing on virtually two different consoles, which may not be the most logical thing in people’s minds.

Stay tuned for more details to be released once Microsoft gives some input on this rumor.

MLG Announces Halo 3 Rebroadcasts

June 12th, 2009

Major League Gaming has announced that they have uploaded all the broadcasts of Halo 3 from their MLG Columbus 2009 event.

Major League Gaming uploaded the full rebroadcasts for the viewing pleasure of the public. Included in these is, Sunday’s Championship Match, where Halo 3 event champions Str8 Rippin dominated their opponents Triggers Down in a 6-1 series. This included a final Team Slayer game on Narrows where Str8 steamrolled through the Triggers Down side, trapping them in their spawn for the majority of the game. This kind of play truly signalled Str8 Rippin’s return to the top after a marginal third place finish at their last event as they walked away a sweet $20,000 richer.

The rebroadcasts feature stream coverage of the matches as they happened, and also highlights and wrap-ups of each day as well as an interview with Str8 Rippin’s captain, Tsquared.

To view the MLG rebroadcasts of Halo 3 visit, MLGPro.

New PlayStation 3 bundle to be released

May 26th, 2009

EXTRASony may have just one more PlayStation announcement pre-announced before its E3 showing, as retail sources are indicating that another “new” PlayStation 3 bundle is en route to Best Buy. This doesn’t sound like a new new hardware bundle for the PS3. The retail release will not include the “slim” model just yet. It is reported that Sony will be offering a previously unavailable PlayStation 3 bundle at Best Buy with two games.

The price will still be 399$ USD, which is a indicator that Sony has “No Plans” to announce a price drop for its current-gen console at this year’s E3, but will stick to “value added” pricing schemes, bundling hardware with Greatest Hits software.

Former 4K to TCM

May 23rd, 2009

TCM is proud to announce the return into CSS today. At Lan79, Eamon “Cauzed” Pakos had to replace Sadegh “Shadowman” Mohammadzadeh at the last minute, because his passport had expired. Shortly after Lan79, the team parted ways with 4Kings.

The team will be attending UKeSA, The-Experience, Multiplay i37 in the near future.

Jack “Callisto” Mason had the following to say:

TCM wanted a top team and so we have built one. We will be attending UKeSA, The-Experience, Multiplay i37 and possibly Outpost On Fire. We have a great lineup and practice has been going excellent so far.

Myself, George, Henry and James have all played in teams together before so we have alot of team play / strats there already. Then of course we needed that 5th player who was going to fit into the team and get along with everyone. That 5th was no other than Shadowman, a big fragger, team player and a great guy.

And so a new team begins. Hopefully this one is going to be around for a long time though! Thanks to both walkah and Xman for supporting us and bringing us into the Team-Coolermaster organisation.
