Today everyone in compLexity is happy to announce our venture into yet another emerging esport title and the addition of a talented group of players. We are proud to announce our acquisition of the former Method (Run’n’Hide) roster, representing the coL family as compLexity Rocket League.
“We are very excited to be entering Rocket League. We feel it’s a fun game that really speaks to a different generation of gamers. We hope that you’ll follow our team and join us in our continuing adventure as we enter our newest title. The ex-Method squad has shown that they are highly skilled, passionate, and professional gamers that will make a great addition to compLexity.”
After 10 years on the platform, we are happy to announce that we will be retiring the @compLexityLIVE Twitter handle in favor of something a bit more direct. Starting today, you can now follow us at @compLexity on Twitter. The channel will continue feature the same great content and match coverage you’ve come to expect over the last decade, along with exciting new series such as our behind-the-scenes “compLexity: POV” series and game highlight videos!
compLexity’s legacy extends back to a time where there was no Youtube, Facebook or Twitter. When we originally joined Twitter it was a very different era. We saw it as a mechanism to send text messages to the phones of our fans if they wanted live score updates. Thus, the name ‘compLexityLIVE.’ That era is obviously long gone and we’re very excited to offer our community a more concise handle moving forward. Thanks to @Twitter for helping us make this happen.

For over 15 years our philosophy has always been that of cultivating talent and building long-term relationships. During that time it has proved successful both in-game, as well as behind the scenes.
In the spirit of tradition we are proud to announce the newest member of our team, CS:GO prodigy Sam “s0m” Oh. The 15 year old CS:GO player has been working tirelessly in Rank S, pugs and on Twitch to develop his skill and brand, and we are excited to help him further along on his journey to become an elite player in the scene.
s0m was introduced to CS:GO by several of his friends in 2014. The game instantly connected with him and quickly turned into a passion. Honing his skills with hours and hours of practice, he became one of the top raw talents in the North American scene, a fierce competitor in Rank S and a terrific rifler. The future for s0m looks bright and we are excited to have him with us!
Be sure to give s0m the proper compLexity Gaming welcome when he starts his stream this afternoon and show him your support on Twitter.
compLexity ushers in a new era with brand new content! An exclusive look behind the curtain of our entire esports organization as we centralize operations at the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters in Frisco, Texas.
Complexity prides itself on providing the best possible atmosphere for our professional players, taking whatever steps necessary to ensure good results with long-term vision. That is why we are proud today to announce three key additions to our CS:GO squad.
First and foremost, with the departure of Alec “Slemmy” White into retirement, the void of the in-game leader position will be filled by North American veteran Pujan “FNS” Mehta. As a former member of mouseSpaz, TSM and CLG, FNS gathered experiences on the biggest stages CS:GO has to offer, including Majors, ESL Pro League, and ELEAGUE. He adds veteran leadership to the young and hungry coL.cs roster.
Not only are we adding an important piece to the roster itself, we are upgrading the support structure surrounding the team. Ron “Rambo” Kim and Andrew “Professor_Chaos” Heintz will take over the coach and analyst role respectively. With Rambo we have a Counter-Strike legend and former Complexity star, while Professor_Chaos, a CS:GO veteran, makes his debut sporting the red and black. Both have already begun working with the team, as the new CS:GO season will start in the next few weeks with Pro League and other important tournaments on the horizon.
Give all three a warm Complexity family welcome on Twitter and stay tuned for the upcoming matches in the StarLadder Closed Qualifiers, as well as the new ESL Pro League season.
About half a year ago, Complexity Gaming ventured into the world of competitive Gwent with star player superjj and caster Merchant as the core of the squad. Since then additions such as Petrify to bolster the competitive side, as well as SirPumpkn for the streaming side, have panned out great. Today we are proud to take it a step further by signing potentially the best free agent on the market – welcome Frederick “Freddybabes” Bird to Complexity!
Since the beginning of the circuit, Freddy has been regarded as an absolute top player in the Gwent scene. His star ascended fully in Vienna, Austria in September of 2017 by winning the first ever Gwent Slam – followed by championships at the Gwent Open #2 and ultimately Gwent Challenger #2. The latest success was the crowning achievement for the Brit, who has been active and involved not only in the competitive scene, but also added to his exposure by starting to stream regularly.
Whether he plays his favorite deck Consume Monsters, goes on the ladder with other archetypes or even shows you a glimpse into his chess skills, his streams are always fun, light-hearted and entertaining. Packing this one-two punch, he is an ideal player to add to the already stacked Gwent roster of Complexity Gaming and we are proud to have him on board!
Make sure to give Freddy a good welcome to the Complexity family on his Twitter or swing by his next stream.
Today we are announcing a change to our Call of Duty roster. As of yesterday evening, Jared ‘Nagafen’ Harrell was informed that he was being released to free agency. Jared was only a part of Complexity for a short time, but even in those few weeks we could see that he approaches the game with great determination and resolve. We would like to thank him for his hard work and wish him the best of luck in his future endeavors.
To fill the open spot, we have reached an agreement with Enigma6 to transfer the contract of up-and-comer Brandon ‘Dashy’ Otell. Less than a year into his COD career, Dashy has emerged as one of the new AR talents in the circuit. His slay heavy style has turned heads around the scene, and we’re excited to see his presence help to drive the team into CWL Pro League Stage 2.
“As an organization, we aren’t in the habit of signing players and cutting them just a couple of weeks later. It really just isn’t how we do things. At the same time, following sub-par performances and a discussion on Thursday with members of the team, it was clear that the team felt a change was needed to improve performance to a level that would allow them to qualify into Stage 2. We were in a bit of a pickle. There was a strict timetable, and we both needed to make a change, but we also needed to do our best to minimize the impact for our departing player.
Yesterday when I was informed that the team wanted to bring on Dashy, we moved as quickly as possible to evaluate the option, and secure his transfer from E6. It was a huge priority for us that Jared needed to be released as a free agent with sufficient time to land on his feet. Late last night things fell into place, the transfer was secured, and Jared was immediately informed and released into free agency. It wasn’t perfect, but we did our best to do right by everyone and move forward.
We’re excited to seeing what Dashy brings to the team. He absolutely crushed at NOLA, so I’m personally hoping he can repeat that strong performance in the upcoming months.”
– Kyle Bautista, Vice President and General Manager
You can see Dashy and the rest of #coLofDuty in the upcoming CWL National Circuit.
We thank you for your continued support of compLexity and #coLofDuty!
Today we are thrilled to announce that we are returning to Call of Duty! Christopher “Parasite” Duarte, Tyler “FeLo” Johnson, Jared “Nagafen” Harrell, and Jeremy “StuDyy” Astacio will be donning the red and black as we look to expand on the legacy that is #coLofDuty!
“Back in 2003 Jason Lake founded compLexity in the FPS genre. It wasn’t long after when we made our debut in Call of Duty. Our love of the game runs deep, and that passion was most clearly evident in our 2014 COD Champs win. Four years later, we have teamed up with a squad that we believe can do justice to the legend of that 2014 team.
We are so happy to welcome Chris, Jay, Tyler, and Jared to our family. The team will have access to our Frisco training facility for the best practice and match advantages possible, and with help from the world’s best coaches, sports psychologists, and other specialists, we will do everything we can to build a dominant squad. Lets get started.”
– Kyle Bautista, Vice President and General Manager

Jones Family and John Goff Acquire Complexity Gaming and Move into the Global Esports Industry
Complexity Gaming firmly establishes its global headquarters in Frisco, Texas
FRISCO, TX – Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, alongside investor John Goff, have announced the acquisition of Complexity Gaming. Together, Jones and Goff are making their entrance into the global esports industry through the acquisition of this iconic esports organization.
Founded in 2003, Complexity is one of America’s premier and original esports organizations. Owned and operated by industry veterans Jason Lake and Jason Bass, this brand has been a mainstay of the esports space since its formation having won over 130 championships in 26 different competitive titles.
“The growth in professional gaming is incredibly significant,” said Jerry Jones. “We are proud to be stepping into this space with John Goff and an industry icon in Jason Lake. Between our stadiums, our personnel, and our experience and knowledge of professional sports, the synergies here are endless and I’m confident our resources will continue the growth of Complexity for years to come.”
“Esports are a $700 million industry growing over 40% annually for the foreseeable future with viewership numbers surpassing many major, traditional sports” said John Goff, Founder, Chairman of Goff Capital and Crescent Real Estate. “Acquiring an iconic organization in partnership with the owners of the most valuable sports franchise in the world made for an ideal investment partnership. The sponsorship and marketing might of the Jones family and character and tenacity of Jason Lake are second to none. We could not be more excited to be a part of such a collection of talent.”
“Dreams do come true. I’m thrilled and honored beyond words to be working with the Jones and Goff families,” said Jason Lake, Founder and CEO of Complexity. “Everyone at Complexity is eager to re-locate to the great state of Texas and continue building our gaming legacy alongside such unparalleled partners.”
Complexity will be centralized at The Star, home of the Dallas Cowboys World Headquarters in Frisco, Texas. The group will begin immediate construction of a state-of-the-art operations center and global headquarters including offices, production studios, and industry leading training facilities. With The Star as home turf, Complexity players will have access to the premier training, athletic development, and sports medicine services of any esports athletes in the world.
“This is just the beginning,” said Lake. “We are taking esports to another level and can’t wait to share more exciting news and details with our fans in the near future!”
Today the Complexity Stream Team is happy to announce another promising and fast-growing member for our Stream Team: Gabriel ‘SirPumpkn’ Winston. Transitioning to CCGs from a collegiate League of Legends player, SirPumpkn has had numerous run-ins with the various card games in the esports community. Ultimately his passion and skill landed him at the upper echelon of the Gwent scene, but before that he gathered experience in multiple other titles such as Hearthstone, Eternal, Faeria, Duelyst and Shadowverse. Locked in on Gwent now, with the occasional Fortnight break here and there, he’s become a fixture on Twitch for the Witcher Card game.
SirPumpkn will join the likes of superjj, Petrify and Merchant in the Complexity Gwent team, although his primary focus will be on streaming the game to his fans. As Complexity continues to bolster its efforts in the fast-growing card game of The Witcher’s universe, we diversify our portfolio to not only offer our fans the best in the game, but also the most entertaining personalities. Gabriel checks off both of those categories, which makes him a perfect fit for the Complexity Familia!
Join us in welcoming Gabriel to the family. You can check out his stream Mondays through Saturdays from 4 PM EST until Midnight on twitch.tv/sirpumpkn and keep up with him on Twitter over at twitter.com/sirpumpkn!
